On the assumption that we don’t get arrested for trying to smuggle Evian water onto the aircraft and that the plane doesn’t decide to take an early bath in the Bay of Biscay, we’ll be back home this afternoon.
The President of the Residents Association is meeting us at Gatwick and being the efficient sort of chap he is, all should go well.
I’m looking forward to seeing how Gertrude has got on without me. A trusted neighbour has been keeping an eye on him while I’ve been away but I expect there will be quite a lot of clearing up to do. I had an e-mail the other day, telling me that the llama nesting season had started early this year; Gertrude has decided to appropriate the sofa and has also decimated a couple of cushions to use as nesting material. I don’t remember reading about this sort of behaviour in the hand-book.
I’ve also missed a continuous and reliable connection to the interweave. There has been so much going on that I’ve been unaware of, I’m sure.
My thanks to the people who have continued to visit my blog, particularly those that have been using my comment pages as a chat room. I’ll put a stop to that as soon as I can - obviously.
I’ll also have to relight the interest in fuelling my blog – I have been underneath too many goddesses for too long and, quite frankly, I’m finding it hard to breath. There is also the job of sorting out my ‘friends’ on the new widgety thing.
I must also try and get Penfold back on line. Honestly, when it gets down to the technical side, he needs all the help he can get.
I’m sure the weather will be lovely when we get back and there won’t be any bills waiting to be sorted out ……… mmmmm, I wonder if there’s time for a rethink?
