Over the years there has been a natural development of areas of responsibilities.

The terrible Goddess rules the house and the gardens.
I have the shed [one property that we lived in only had a tiny garden; I was in charge of a flowerpot]. (It was more of a rusty bucket and mop. Lo TG Ed.)

When it comes to dealing with dangerous creatures that have crossed our paths over the years the division is more even.

I deal with flies, moths, daddylonglegs and dusty pieces of cobweb that attach themselves to the TG's jumpers in such a position that she can't quite see what they are.

The TG protects me from hornets, wasps, bees and spiders, charging bulls, fearsome herds of really large cows, potentially rabid dogs and snakes [constricting, poisonous and fictitious] . (I can't remember the charging bull, but the rest is true. Lo TG Ed.)

Further proof, I think, that the world is unjust and peabrains get a really raw deal, as they have since the dawn of time.
