Avid readers, I've had a problem with my knobs. Actually it was only one that caused the problem initially but, like a lot of things in my life, things escalated.
The terrible Goddess
It constantly amazes me what sensitive fingers the TG has. After we had stemmed the gash in her forefinger I said I'd pop down to the local DIY store and pick up a new knob.
When I got to the shop, there wasn't a matching one so I had to make a decision. I bought 32 knobs so I could replace the lot [luckily it was 10% off day for OAP's; I lied about my age].
On my return I received full support from the TG, quite a relief I can tell you, and went round the bedrooms fixing the new accoutrements. I laid all the old ones on a tray and left it downstairs.
Later the same day, I got up from my little afternoon nap, it had been a very full morning, and walked bleary eyed into the kitchen having left my glasses upstairs. 'Ah... vol-au-vents' I mumbled and popped one into my mouth.
I only have a few teeth at the best of times and now I have fewer. I'm with Bob Geldof - I hate Mondays.
Coming your way soon 'War and Piece' - our first argument and a trip to the hospital.
