I have recently discovered something about feeds, partly from the excellent and informative FuelMyBlog blog, and partly from my technical support team.

Almost everyone who comes to visit here uses Mozilla Firefox. One of their add-ons is called Sage. This is an idiot-proof (Must be, I suppose. Lo,TG Ed) feed reader that I am finding extremely useful to help me keep tabs on all the nutters lovely people that I visit regularly.
Once you've down loaded Sage, click on the green leaf, top left of browsing window. A slide slides out to the left, like magic. Towards the top of the slide is a magnifying glass. Whenever you open a blog that you decide you want to keep tabs on, just click the magnifying glass, select a feed from the drop down 'thingy' and press 'add feed' - it's then added to your list. When you click on the whirling arrow symbol, if someone has put up a new post a red star appears against their blog's name . Click on the star and you get an instant view of new content without all the advertising, blogrolls and stuff. If you want to be interactive, click on the title and you go straight to the blog as usual.

I'm sure it does loads of other things as well - but it's early days for me.

I'm posting this because I'm sure that I'm not the only Cyber toddler around here. Techno boffins - go play somewhere else for today.
