I've tried everything.
"It's lovely darling."
"You think so!! - I think it's awful!"
or, when that didn't work,
"What do you think?"
"No. I want to know what you think."
"Errr, it's lovely darling."
"No, it's not. It's a disaster."
or, after that futile effort,
"In a couple of days it'll look lovely - you know - when it's 'settled'"
"You don't like it."
"Yes, I do. It looks lovely"
"Rubbish - it's horrible."
I tried just mumbling but was always pressed into making some audible statement - never the correct one apparently.
This morning there was a breakthrough.
"What does my hair look like?"
Pause.
"Which one?"
Silence ................. and then a fit of giggles all round ................result!
