View Article  THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE
I was over at John’s place and this post set me thinking.
The wardrobe in the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe suddenly seemed like a good analogy for a way of life, or a person who feels content with their way of life, which is a state I aspire to; not to be confused with complacency of course. I realise that not everyone aspires to this, which is as it should be.

I had this vision of being surrounded by the comfort of the fur coats.
There were two ways out of the wardrobe [and, of course, into the wardrobe]. On one side was the ‘real’ world and on the other an ‘imaginary’ world.

This is an excellent metaphor for my blog.
My state of mind is, in the main, of the equable type – I am reasonably comfortable with myself.
The imaginary rubbish I come up with in the posts is, 99 times out of a 100, based on something that actually has happened and then taken to ridiculous extremes.

Whichever side of the closet I come out of it's fun most of the time, with good company on both sides.

Ho hum – anyway, I’m going to go and annoy a wicked Queen now – I would never, ever take on a goddess though……….. I’m not that stupid. (The very fact that you're saying that........ Lo,TG Ed)

View Article  POST-IT NOTES
My combination of a scattered brain and bad memory means that when I think of something to blog about I have to either write it immediately, or leave myself a note.

I have notes on lappytop, ayeayeMac, notebooks, bits of paper, the backs of envelopes and post-it notes.
When I come to write a post, I then have to try and translate my scribbled notes and remember the ‘thrust’.

Squeak and bubble’ – no idea

Olga/varicose veins – vodka martini’ – what?

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’ – ah yes, brilliant

Penfold, mascara, clinic OK?’ – I don’t want to remember

TG and the frog’ – no idea

70’s - problem, smelly feet, accordion’ - ?????

Linky, smelly feet, tryst’ – mmmmmmmm

Sylvie smelling fishy/ meringue/ anchor’ – this is not going well

TNB swinging trees chimney pot’ – ok, ok, I give up.

[Note to self – must work out a different system]

("TG and the frog - hmmm, maybe it's thought transference, I sometimes have the feeling I've kissed a frog...... Lo,TG Ed)

[Just found another stuck on bedroom mirror - 'mmmmmmmm' - mmmmm?]

Lo, she is a terrible Goddess, is not a morning person at the best of times. I, on the other hand, as some avid readers know, am.

I have to tread a fine line between keeping my body fed and not clattering while doing my breakfast.

I tried using a paper bowl to have my cereal …….. bad idea.
I tried hugging the kettle to keep the noise down while it was boiling…… very bad idea.
I tried using a blow-torch to have some toast …… moderately successful, apart for the t-cloth that I accidentally set fire to which set off the smoke alarm.

I have a healthy regard for the state of my shins and the fact that I don’t need a hearing-aid yet [if I had one, I could turn it off ]……… and days are quite long …….. so what should I do?

Glass of water and a banana anyone?

(Yes and another thing - those new teeth are quite noisy, Peabrain. Perhaps we could have mufflers fitted? Lo,TG Ed)

Test Paper 4

The task towards the coveted award this time is to write your thoughts about OCD [Obsessive Computer Disorder].
Topics that should be covered are:
1. Have you fuelled me today at FMB?
2. Have you made me a technorati favourite?
3. Have you linked to me recently in a funny and amusing post?
4. Am I on your blogroll?
5. Have you left a comment recently?
6. Have you ‘stumbled’ me?
7. Have you read the fanzine?
8. Have you told all your friends about me?
9. Have you joined the fan club?
10. Do you dream about me when separated from your computer?
( D R E A M – what an interesting way of spelling nightmare. Lo,TG Ed)

Having done all of those things you may write your own blog, do a little surfing and venture out into the real world for a few minutes.
