Whenever I was ill as a small child, I used to knit teddy a scarf to keep me occupied. I was a rubbish knitter and the scarves always looked like a Mexican wave made flesh. (That sounds truly disgusting. Lo,TG Ed)

I’ve noticed that JohnC has had the flu. Now whether this is man-flu and he’s only stubbed his toe, or it’s the real McCoy and he’s suffering like only a real man can, we’ll never know. The point is, it’s allowed him the time to zoom round the world via the interweave and touch base with a load of friends.
OK, so there are a lot of nasty things in the virtual world, but used properly, it is a lovely way to enjoy the company of others and take your mind off things that are getting you down.
Mind you, I am still determined to try to make a scarf that teddy would be proud to wear.
