A post on a blog is ephemeral. It’s written – it’s posted – it’s read, if you’re lucky, and then it falls down out of sight as soon as the next post is posted.

My nature is to read what is in front of me and then ‘click’ on to my next port of call. I am trying to re-train myself to rummage around a bit to get a feel (Hmm, you be careful where you're rummaging. Lo,TG Ed.) of what a particular blogger is about – you can’t tell by just reading one post.

If someone happens across your blog on a ‘bad’ day, they will be lost and gone forever – blogworld is far too big a place to waste time on something that hasn’t grabbed your interest almost immediately.

Make some noise here, there and everywhere and you might manage to get a fair hearing [seeing? …. reading? …… whatever].

This is where a community like FuelMyBlog can help. You can build up some relationships and a ‘profile’ and that can help get you readers.

FuelMyBlog is not ephemeral – it’s a constant. It can act as an anchor in the swirling maelstrom of the Internet blogging world.
