Apparently we are not allowed to keep chickens and pigs but there is no mention of llamas at all – so that's a great relief.
The difficulties that have arisen here at the Gated Community over keeping Gertrude under wraps have been doing my head in - I almost folded under the pressure and got re-cycled.
My main concern now is: what if Gertrude escapes when we move and strays too near the cliff edge?
I’ve googled ‘Llama crampons’ [9790 hits – all useless] and ‘Llama Safety Equipment” [52,600 hits – all useless] so I am thinking along the lines of a long piece of elastic and a llama collar [279,000 hits - the information I needed was listed at number 246,675, which was lucky otherwise I might have been wasting my time]. However I would be worried over the possibility that at full stretch Gertrude might lose his footing and do a horizontal bungee jump across the village.
I suppose we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it. (He might cross it in the course of his flight! Lo, TG Ed)
I can’t wait to meet the new neighbours.
