There was a chap at art school with me that used to excavate his stalactites and stalagmites from his nostrils and store them in a jam jar. By the time I left college the bottom of the jar was barely covered.



I wonder, nearly 40 years on, whether he keep up this fascinating hobby. So, a shout out to Vernon Carruthers, how’s it going? Did you ever get married or are you still living with your mother? Anyone ever employ you? Got any friends?
