Just as I was going to get up from the sofa I accidentally touched the remote and the television burst into life.
My attention was caught by a very interesting news item about hormonal changes in dormice due to people using spray-on sunscreen.
I was just mulling this over when a programme started with some rather good looking goddesses discussing whether one-piece swimming costumes or bikinis were in vogue for this summer, using models to illustrate the problems involved ……. fascinating……….
……… and then there was a terrifically interesting cooking programme. I had no idea there were so many ways to cook asparagus on a budget. That was followed by the lunchtime news ……. at which point I fell asleep and the next thing I knew the TG was striding in demanding to know what I’d been doing all day.
I explained that I’d tried to get up from the sofa but was suffering from ‘hurty knee’ and hadn’t been able to do very much.
The silence was quite scary actually ………………….
